Q. What do brands come with?

 

A. All our brands come with the following:  the logo of your choice, the dot com domain, copyright and other rights to the brand and any other items, such as a ready made website, specified in the offering.

 

Q. How long does it take to buy a brand?
 

A. An average transaction time is 3-5 working days.  We start work immediately when you complete your purchase and confirm the process and timescale to you.  Often it can be less than 5 days.
 

Q. How do I know I will get the dot com domain for the brand I choose?
 

A. All our brands come with the dot com.  If we do not have the dot com domain for a brand then we won't sell it.  In some cases, we may also include other top-level-domains such as .org or .net which might be offered as a package with the dot com.

 

Q. How does the domain transfer take place?

 

A. As soon as we receive your purchase confirmation, you can download your brand package (logo files, transfer of ownership agreement, instructions, etc) and we initiate the domain transfer process.  This is strightforward and results in the domain being transferred directly from our registrar to be registered with yours in your name.  The timescale depends mainly on which registrar you use to handle the transfer.

 

Q. Which domain registrar should I use?

 

A. Our corporate domain registrar used for our brand names is GoDaddy, which is the largest dot com domain registrar in the world.  As a result, their tools and processes are generally very efficient. You can choose whichever registrar you prefer, but GoDaddy will generally be the quickest to handle a transfer.  It also offers good value compared with some other providers.  If you have a close relationship with another registrar, you may prefer to use that one to consolidate your existing domain registrations.

 

Q. How does the domain transfer take place?

 

A. As soon as you complete your purchase, we will contact you via email to initiate the transfer process.  You will need to provide us with your choice of domain registrar and additional details, such as your account number/ID so that we can complete the transfer to the correct account.  If you are unsure which registrar to use, we recommend you set up an account with GoDaddy, since it provides the most efficient way for us to complete the transfer.  If you wish to use another registrar, the process will be slightly different.  Each domain name registrar provides details on their website about their own processes for completing the transfer.  In general, once we have your registrar and account information, the process happens very quickly and can be completed in as little as one business day.

 

Q. What rights do I acquire when I buy a brand?

 

A. All our brands are original brands created by us and include your choice of logo and the dot com domain.  When you purchase a brand, you receive from us an assignment of all rights that we (and other holders, such as the logo designer) hold in the brand, including ownership, copyright and other rights to the original name, logo design and dot com domain.

 

Q. Can I trademark the brand?

 

A. Yes, in virtually all cases, a registered trademark may be obtained for all of our brands.  All our brands are created as original names that can be used for mainstream commercial use in major markets.  To obtain a registered trademark, you must make a filing with the US Patent and Trademark Office in the US (and/or the equivalent in other countries).  As part of your application, you must declare which business sectors are applicable to your trademark.  Our brands are created to be acceptable in the vast majority of sectors, though final approval is up to the trademark office.  If you need further advice, we recommend you get in touch with a trademark specialist, such as a trademark attorney, and discuss your specific business requirements.

 

Q. We are a start-up company - what is the quickest way of us securing the brand and domain for our use?

 

A. The quickest way is to make a purchase with us and tell us that you need the sale expedited.  We will advise you of the quickest steps to secure the brand and complete the domain transfer, according to your timescale.  Having an account with GoDaddy will speed the process.  Your brand is safe and reserved for you the minute we receive payment.

 

Q. We are a major corporation and confidentiality is extremely important to us - what assurance can you provide that our purchase of the brand will remain confidential?

 

A. We respect the confidentiality of all our clients and website users.  We do not sell, share, exchange or publish any client information without permission, so you can be confident about us maintaining confidentiality of your business with us.

 

Q. We found a brand that we like but want to make changes to our preferred logo - can we work with the designer to do that?

 

A. Yes you may.  We will put you in touch directly with the logo designer in question and you can work out the best way forward to refine your brand.  PLease note we cannot take any repsonsibility from this point as we are no longer involved in the process.  You must agree your own terms, process and payment method directly with the designer.

 

Q. Do you offer a discount if we just purchase the domain?

 

A. No, we only sell complete brands but it's up to you if you want to use the choice of logo we offer or not. We have to pay the designers for their ideas and production in any case so we cannot offer any discount.

 

Q. We would also like to secure the .co.uk, .net, .de and other domain extensions.  Can you provide all of these as part of a package?


A. Yes, for an extra fee we can reserve all of these for you and then transfer the entire package to you.
